Whatever the reason for seeking help, a coaching programme is tailored to individuals and carried out over four progressive and interrelated phases:

Exploring

Understanding the nature of the issue, which may not always be the one you initially thought of. Understanding more about yourself, when you are at your best, your interests and what is important to you.

Clarifying

Bringing together information about you and clarifying what needs to be present in a job for it to satisfy your work and non-work-related needs. This phase will possibly help you to see your situation  in a new way.

Visioning

Helping you to express what you would like your life to look like in the future, shaping a motivating ideal that has value and meaning for you.

Action Planning

Choosing viable career and job options, identifying the resources you have at your disposal to secure them and planning actions to use those resources, overcome obstacles and maintain your momentum towards your goals.

The coaching programme normally takes place over four meetings lasting between an hour and 90 minutes.. There will be preparatory work for you to complete beforehand and between meetings; this normally takes the form of career questionnaires and other exercises. At the end of the programme, you should have a practical action plan and a comprehensive set of data, giving you insight into your preferences, strengths, and resources, which you can refer to in future.

I will always invite you to talk through your situation in a free introductory consultation so that you can decide if Discover Career Coaching’s programme suits your needs. This free consultation lasts about 30 minutes.

Individual consultations after the programme are chargeable on a fixed fee basis and may be used for a review of progress or further support related to the completed programme.
